annelids, or worms are members of a tribe of the lophotrochozoa (Lophotrochozoa) which are anon to belong to the protostomes. annelids are divided into two classes: setae (Polychaeta) and giitelworms (Clitellata), in the Oligochaeta (Oligochaeta) and leech (Hirudinea) divide. There are about 17,000 different species. The largest known species is native to australia, the earthworm in length can reach up to 3 meters. The smallest species lives in the ground water and reaches a size of 0.5 mm. How in the name of the ring worm is already included, it consists of several rings, called segments. On the segments are, for some species, especially in the polychaete some shape stump feet (Parapodien) which are interwoven with the so-called Chaetae bristles. Most marine annelids live some species also have gills. |
